Our New Horizontal Mill Delivers Higher Quality, Faster Production

In 2015, HorizonPSI opened our own machine shop, bringing many tasks that were previously outsourced to other machine shops in-house. Recently, we’ve invested in a new horizontal mill to take greater control of the production schedule and ensure the quality of our machined parts and components.

This 12-foot-tall, 42,000-pound machine allows us to control 100% of airlock machining thereby improving the quality of our housings and giving us better control of the scheduled delivery of completed components.

For food safety, many of our customers require stainless steel components which need additional attention to meet tight production tolerances and finish quality. This new horizontal mill eliminates the need to group jobs for delivery to an outside machinist – allowing us to increase production and provide more consistent delivery times for our customers.

Plus, our existing vertical turret lathe is now dedicated to airlock rebuilds, helping us keep service schedules on track and return your airlocks to your facility when promised.
