Name: Jen Williams

Hometown: Salina, KS

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Family: I come from a very large family. I am one of 4 kids. However in Lawrence, it is just my boyfriend and our daughter Bella, who is 5.

What will you be doing at Horizon?: I will be the Administrative Assistant to the Lawrence Office.

Previous Job: I was Assistant Supervisor of Sales and Customer Service at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas

Background/Experience: Most of my working career has been spent in Customer Service and Sales of Health Insurance. On a completely opposite note from the health insurance industry, I spent a few years also working in manufacturing and the Ag business at Great Plains Manufacturing/LandPride as their parts coordinator. I truly enjoyed being a part of prep for sales meetings and handling parts orders.

What are you looking forward to most at Horizon? The opportunity to work for a company that is not a corporation. You tend to get lost in the sea of people. I really like being able to say good morning to people as they come in the door.

Hobbies: I spend a lot of time editing pictures because I run a photography business on the side, but when I am not doing that I spend time with my kiddo and boyfriend. We love to fish and go to the gun range. When I get a chance to be alone, I enjoy hiking and photographing landscapes.

Favorite Movie: Pearl Harbor

Something most people wouldn’t know about you: My first language was not English. It was Korean!

Favorite Food: I guess this is more candy, but I have an obsession with Haribo Gummy bears!!!

Favorite Sports Team: Pro - Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs; College - K-state Wildcats
