April 2016 - Petfood Forum 2016 Generates Business for HorizonPSI

HorizonPSI exhibited at the Petfood Forum April 18-20 at the Kansas City Convention Center. The packed show was a mix of ingredient suppliers, packagers and equipment manufacturers with a significant number of new companies.

This is the forum’s second year in Kansas City, and the turnout was much better than last year. Customers looking for answers to specific questions generated a lot of traffic in our booth. Our representatives answered questions regarding our newest component innovations, as well as, projects in the U.S., Mexico and Asia.

Our featured technology at the booth included the ORIGINAL Kleen Horizontal Product Separator, our redesigned KleenLift Extruder Hood and our new smaller RFTT4 Filter Receiver. We engaged attendees and drew them into our booth with video animation of our Kleen HPS, KleenLift and metal-to-metal couplings. The video showed the products opening, closing and moving to give customers insight into what they actually look like and how they operate. Watch the video here.

Although the Kleen HPS and KleenLift were too large to showcase in our booth, we did have an actual RFTT4 Filter Receiver and metal-to-metal couplings on hand for customers to see and touch.

The Kleen HPS is a flexible alternative to traditional cyclone product separators. Its features include:

  • Easy accessibility for improved sanitation
  • Reduced head height for new construction or a retrofit

The KleenLift is packed with upgrades. It has new features with the same focus:

  • Requires no dismantling for easy cleaning
  • Laminar airflow prevents product tumbling or clumping
  • Safer Operation
  • Improved Knife Drive and Die Side Sealing for superior performance

Kleen LIft

Our new, smaller RFTT4 Filter Receiver may not be as a big as our original models, but it boasts a robust design and the following features:

  • Tool free access making it easier to clean and maintain
  • Offers flexible filter media options for different filter applications
  • Individually pulsed filters, great solution for powders to pellets
  • Most sanitary option for line sizes up to 3 inches
  • Optimized filter cleaning mechanism

During the show, our staff also discussed new approaches to ingredient management, solutions for overall system sanitation, as well as, our leading technology for gently conveying kibble by focusing on these custom solutions:
